July 29, 2009, Calgary – Kenn Borek Air Ltd. (KBA) has helped Maldivian Air Taxi (MAT) set up its operation over the last 15 years by providing crew and maintenance personnel.  Effective Nov. 1, 2009, MAT will start operating solely on its own as KBA ceases providing the crew and maintenance to their organization.

MAT will continue with its own operation and KBA aircraft will be put in other operations worldwide.  KBA has started operation in Vancouver with Harbour Air Ltd as one of its future endeavors.  KBA has also placed an order for its third DC3-T while negotiating a fourth.  It is also expanding its operation in the Antarctica for a total of 7 or more Twin Otters for the upcoming season.

Kenn Borek Air Ltd. will continue offering MAT support.
