Steeve Lavoie, President of Bell Textron Canada, has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors for Aéro Montréal, formed in 2006 to develop the interests of Québec’s aerospace cluster. Lavoie will serve as Aéro Montréal’s chair for two years, succeeding Denis Giangi, President of Rolls-Royce Canada, who remains as a member of the board.

Lavoie joined Aero Montreal’s Board in May 2019, shortly after being appointed President of Bell Textron Canada, where he is responsible for leading all of the company’s Mirabel operations.

“It gives me great pride to take the lead of Aéro Montréal’s Board of Directors as elected President and wish to thank Mr. Denis Giangi and members of the Board for this demonstration of trust,” said Lavoie.

Aéro Montréal elects members to its board every two years. It consists of 35 Directors from companies, educational and research institutions, as well as associations and unions.
