Lockheed Martin launches new subsidiary

July 2, 2013, London, U.K. - Lockheed Martin Corporation launched Lockheed Martin International (LMI) today, a new organization responsible for strengthening international customer relationships and industrial partnerships, and growing the company's global business. Patrick M. Dewar, 52, has been named Executive Vice President of LMI and will continue as a corporate officer.

"Directly engaging with and listening to our customers are essential components to maintaining and growing our global business," said Marillyn A. Hewson, Lockheed Martin chief executive officer and president. "The new Lockheed Martin International team will be responsible for strengthening our global partnerships and investing in new ones to ensure we continue to meet our global customers' diverse national security and economic development needs."

The LMI team will work with global Lockheed Martin customers to deliver the company's products, technologies and services to meet their national security and citizen services needs. The LMI organization is headquartered in London, England, and theWashington, D.C., metropolitan area; has corporate offices in Ottawa, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Canberra; and regional offices in Tel Aviv, New Delhi, Tokyo and Seoul.

"The LMI team will align and integrate our existing international business and operations under a customer-focused strategy in the 70 countries where we do business today. With nearly three decades of international business experience, Pat is uniquely qualified to lead LMI and advance our customer and partner relationships," continued Hewson.

"Our unified team and approach will deliver the Lockheed Martin value proposition to our customers," Dewar said. "We look forward to continuing to deliver our products, technologies and services. From the F-35, C-130J, F-16 and missile defense systems to cyber security and citizen services, we have the products our global customers need to meet their unique missions."

Prior to being named to lead LMI, Dewar was senior vice president of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Throughout his 28-year career with Lockheed Martin, Dewar has held a number of leadership positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president of Corporate International Business Development, vice president of Business Development for the Electronic Systems business area, and the European program director for the Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS) based inMunich, Germany. Dewar has served as Chairman of the Boards of Directors for Lockheed Martin UK Holdings Limited, LockheedMartin Espana, S.A., and Lockheed Martin Australia Pty Limited, as well as the Lockheed Martin UAE Advisory Board. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Swarthmore College.
