Magellan Aerospace Corp. reached an agreement with an undisclosed customer for the supply of what the company describes as complex fabricated engine front frames for a commercial platform. The engine front frames are to be manufactured at Magellan’s facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The company’s new agreements also include a contract to produce rotating engine shafts for a dual use platform, which are to be manufactured at Magellan’s facility in Haverhill, Massachusetts. These contracts are valued at approximately $45 million and will be delivered starting in 2019 through 2022.

“This competitively won business speaks to the reputation that Magellan has built in the aerospace industry,” said Haydn Martin, vice president, business development, marketing and contracts for Magellan. “The confidence that OEM customers have placed in Magellan is significant and demonstrates our capability to offer our customers a technologically advanced and reliable solution.”

Magellan Aerospace, focused on complex assemblies and systems for aircraft and engine manufacturers, as well as defence and space agencies worldwide, holds operating units throughout North America, Europe and India.
