February 11, 2021  By The Canadian Press

TORONTO — Police say a man has been charged after he presented a fraudulent negative COVID-19 test result to officials at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.

Police say it happened Monday evening at one of the airport’s Canada Border Services Agency checkpoints.

They say the man’s test result was, in fact, positive.

The accused, a 29-year-old from Stratford, Ont., is charged with using a forged document.

He is due in court on April 19.

Police say he has been taken to a hotel to quarantine.
