Nov. 3, 2009 – Richmond, B.C. – MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. says it has been authorized by the United States Air Force to begin work on a number of projects totalling over $5.7 million.

The Vancouver-area company, known as MDA, said the projects will add significant new capabilities and refresh the solution technology for a flight path safety system.

MDA said it first delivered the system to the air force in 2004.

The Air Force Terminal Instrument Procedures Replacement system is deployed to more than 190 air force end-users, MDA said Friday.
