Mechanical failure caused crash in Saskatoon
Jan. 9, 2013, Saskatoon - Mechanical failure in one engine and a lack of fuel in a second engine led to a deadly airplane crash in Saskatoon.

Those are the findings in a Transportation Safety Board report into the April 2011 crash of an aerial survey aircraft operated by Fugro Aviation Canada.
The report says the plane lost power during a survey flight when an internal component in the right engine failed.
The crew of three tried to get to the airport, but the left engine lost power because it wasn't getting enough fuel.
The plane crashed into a brick wall that separates a four-lane roadway from nearby homes.
The survey equipment operator – 47-year-old Iaroslav Gorokovski of Embrun, Ont., – was killed and the two pilots were injured.
