The Full Flight Trainer  (FFT) is a 100 per cent type-specific training device that will be certified to EASA CS-FSTD standards as FTD Level 2. The unit will be based at OK Business Aircraft’s training facilities in Czech Republic. The signing took place on a wing of a real Piper Meridian aircraft at the EBACE exhibition in Geneva on May 22.

Lubomir Cornak, president of OK Aviation Group commented "We have been providing Piper Meridian type rating training for European customers since 2006, so it is a natural step to offer a high fidelity training device to enhance the efficiency and safety of our training operations. We have selected Mechtronix for their long standing track record of providing similar quality products to customers within the European regulatory environment."

Philippe Delfour, Business Development Director at Mechtronix added "We are very pleased that OK Business Aircraft has selected the Mechtronix FFT for their training requirements. The FFT combines the highest reliability standards with the most cost efficient operations and maintenance requirements in the industry."

The FFT will be built at Mechtronix’ facility in Montreal and is expected to be delivered to OK Business Aircraft’s training center in Czech Republic during the second quarter of 2014.
