The order for the A330 FFS X™, to an undisclosed European customer, confirms Mechtronix' presence in the wide body simulation market and comes on the back of further orders for four FFS X™ Level D simulators and one FFT X™ simulator to airlines and independent training centers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia during 2011 including most recently IFTC Istanbul (B737NG) and Portugal's Sor Air (CJ3).

These orders confirm Mechtronix' status as one of the world's leading provider of training solutions for the civil aviation industry and shows strong market acceptance of the FFS X™ product which have already logged in excess of 150,000 hours at 99%+ reliability demonstrating the unique benefit of the FFS X™ architecture.

Fernando Petruzziello, CEO and Chairman of the Board, says that the company's recent success reflects a wider market confidence: "The aviation industry is showing positive signs of recovery and we are benefiting as a result," he says. "But even as market conditions improve, it is important that we continue to deliver high standard simulation and training technologies and services to meet our customers' evolving demands."

The Mechtronix Systems' FFS X™ features the latest generation simulation components. Its electric motion base, LCoS projectors and cloud network architecture bring the latest in user friendliness and ease of operation in training for pilot and instructor alike. In addition, The FFS X™ architecture maximizes the use of OEM software for displays and avionics thus significantly reducing associated maintenance requirements and costs without compromising reliability or performance.

The FFT X™ has Level D, FFS-like quality and features a new generation 3-DOF actuated seat-based motion cueing system, high-end sound simulation system and FFS IOS tower. The flexible fixed base device, which can be upgraded to a FFS Level D is equipped with a 3 channel 200X40o collimated visual system as well as a RSI Image Generator. The FSTD is compliant with JAR-FSTD A FTD Level 2 and FNPT II MCC regulation and capable of supporting MPL training phases as well as recurrent training.
