March 26, 2009, Ottawa – The Canada Aviation Museum, host of the 29th Annual Genie Awards on April 4, is pleased to take part in Genie Week, in conjunction with the 2009 Genie Host Organizing Committee, the National Capital Commission and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.

On Sunday, 29 March, take a short drive to the Canada Aviation Museum to witness the delta-shape building undergo a miraculous transformation into a drive-in cinema. Movie buffs who remember the drive-in experience and those that have only heard stories will be able to enjoy a free screening of Genie-nominated Amal at 8 p.m, right on the Museum exterior wall. Visit the Genie Awards website at www.genieawards.ca for the movie synopsis.

The Canada Aviation Museum, as one of Canada’s national museums is proud to provide support for cultural events celebrating Canada’s rich heritage from coast to coast to coast. This exceptional opportunity will give Canadians a wonderful chance to better appreciate the importance and depth of their Museum’s collection.

The Canada Aviation Museum, one of the three National Museums of the Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation, is located at the intersection of Aviation and Rockcliffe Parkways, just 10 minutes from Parliament Hill.
