Bombardier marks 30th anniversary of Smart Parts program

Bombardier Business Aircraft marks the 30thanniversary of Smart Parts this year. Launched in 1986, the pioneering Smart Parts program was the first airframe systems cost-per-flight-hour cost protection plan for customers in business aviation. To celebrate the 30th anniversary, Bombardier is offering enhancements to its strongest component cost coverage program, Smart Parts Preferred, further maximizing the customers' bottom-line.

Customers enrolling their newly delivered aircraft into Smart Parts Preferred can benefit from additional program enhancements, including more flexibility at resale, increased cost protection through expanded coverage and long-term price guarantees.

“Bombardier was first in the aviation industry to launch cost per-flight-hour coverage on airframe system components with its Smart Parts program. The program has evolved to include Smart Parts Preferred, offering our customers more peace of mind and virtually worry-free component replacement cost protection with the strength of our support as an OEM,” said Andy Nureddin, Vice President and General Manager, Customer Services.

Launched in April 2013, the Smart Parts Preferred program encompasses all the features of the Smart Parts Plus program, including convenient component exchange coverage for major airframe systems (including avionics), as well as tires and brakes, life-limited airframe system components and kits for most alert and recommended Bombardier service bulletins. Smart Parts Preferred further expands on this coverage and includes additional program features.

“We are committed to putting our customers first, always. We’re continuously evolving our Smart Services programs to maximize our customers’ bottom line,” added Nureddin.
