The doors of the new office will open for business in Savannah, Ga., on January 1, 2016. The decision to open the company’s first ever international office has been made in response to increased demand from the U.S. aviation market for MSB’s technical expertise in producing tailor-made Crystal, China and Flatware inserts (CCF), a wide range of Hi-Lo tables, and customized cabinet kits.

Shannon Gill, Business Development Director, MSB Design, will relocate to Savannah, from the company headquarters in Montreal, to run the strategic development of MSB Group. Supporting Gill will be a U.S.-based sales team, as well as MSB personnel on site at customers in Kansas, California and Ohio.

MSB has experienced a significant rise in orders from an expanding number of customers for its tailor-made products in the last two years. It is now regularly receiving single orders for wide body aircraft completions of more than 100 pieces of the CCF inserts. Each order requires the design department to work closely with the OEM, or completion center’s team, to establish the exact requirements for each specific project. The technical team then creates the specifications for each insert, which can be used to securely store dinnerware, crystal, stemware, and other fragile objects during taxi, takeoff, flight and landing.

“The bespoke nature of our products means we work very closely with the customer to provide exactly what they need. With many of our customers now originating in the U.S. it made sense for us to bring the business to the country, and commit a dedicated team to developing the potential. I’m really excited to be opening MSB’s first non-Canadian office and look forward to growing our customer base here in the U.S.,” says Gill. The MSB range of Hi-Lo tables is also proving popular in the USA with the most recent customer adding them as a line-fit option being Gulfstream, for its G500 and G600 models.

The latest Hi-Lo table, which is available in both manual and electric versions, will be showcased during NBAA to demonstrate its durable strength and functionality. The latest electric model also uses blue tooth technology enabling cabin attendants to modify its height from anywhere in the cabin. Luxurious china and crystal items will showcase the secure fit and stylish design of the Crystal, China, and Flatware insert range. MSB will also be presenting its latest tailor-made composite parts, which include iPhone charging stations and magazine racks. “As we work with a wider variety of completion centres and OEMs we are increasingly asked for one-off designs. With our experience, knowledge and capabilities we are well positioned to support these requests and look forward to meeting existing and new clients at the show,” concluded Gill.
