NAV CANADA has new agreement with CFPA

Dec. 19, 2011, Ottawa - NAV CANADA today announced the successful conclusion of collective bargaining with the Canadian Federal Pilots Association (CFPA) which represents approximately 35 pilots who perform Aeronautical Information Services, Flight Inspection and ANS Service Design.

Members of CFPA voted in favour of the tentative agreement reached on November 22, 2011. The new collective agreement runs until April 30, 2013, and provides for wage increases of 3 per cent on October 25, 2010, and 3 per cent on October 25, 2011. A number of amendments and productivity enhancing changes also form part of the agreement, including changes to severance and hours of work.

Marking 15 years as Canada's private sector civil air navigation services provider, with operations from coast to coast to coast, NAV CANADA provides air traffic control, flight information, weather briefings, aeronautical information services, airport advisory services and electronic aids to navigation.
