Air Bravo and Executive Aviation partner on hangar purchase

Air Bravo Corp. and Executive Aviation have jointly completed the purchase of the 20,000-square-foot hangar facility from Geotech Aviation, located at the Sudbury Airport. The hangar was originally built in 2011 to support Geotech’s helicopter and airborne geophysical survey business.

The purchasing companies explain the facility became available when the Geotech decided to centralize its Canadian operations in the Toronto area. Air Bravo and Executive Aviation explain the joint venture is well positioned because of how their non-competitive services compliment each other.

Air Bravo, founded in 2001 and led by president Rick Horwath, provides on demand air charter services to the public and also focuses on Air Ambulance Medicine with years of Medevac experience on behalf of the Government of Ontario and private insurance companies.

Two of the primary services that Air Bravo operates out of the Sudbury airport include supplementary patient transfers and Medevac air ambulance services to Ornge; and air charter services for mining companies and their support industries throughout Northern Ontario, Quebec and Labrador. In addition to Sudbury, Air Bravo operates fully staffed bases in Thunder Bay and Barrie.

Executive Aviation is an independently owned Fixed Base Operation that provides ground and maintenance services at seven airports across Ontario. It provides self-contained private passenger terminals that cater to charter, corporate and private aircraft passengers and flight crews at the London, Sault Ste Marie and Sudbury Airports.

“Now with our move to the new facility in Sudbury, we can offer corporate clients on site meeting or board room facilities, plus dedicated flight planning rooms and private rest and relaxation areas for flight crews,” said Nelson Bradshaw, president of Executive Aviation, which works with World Fuels.
