Safran, Duncan Aviation join forces on ADS-B Out project
Nov. 13, 2014, Everett, Wa. - Safran Engineering Services has announced that it is developing with Duncan Aviation, an Approved Model List Supplemental Type Certificate (AML-STC), for Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast “Out” (ADS-B Out), utilizing the Rockwell Collins TDR-94D Transponder.

In addition to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval, Safran Engineering Services intends to seek appropriate approvals with Transport Canada (TC) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for the aforementioned aircraft models, which will streamline the installation process for ADS-B Out equipage in the United States, Canada and in Europe.

This AML-STC will be made available to all Rockwell Collins Authorized Sales & Service Center installation facilities around the globe streamlining the installation process and allowing customers easier access to ADS-B solutions.” said Scott Hall, US Sales Manager for Safran Engineering Services.
