StandardAero inks deal with Mesa Airlines
StandardAero has signed a 12-year contract with Mesa Airlines, Inc. to perform maintenance, repair and overhaul services for APS2300 auxiliary power units (APUs) on its fleet of 30 Embraer E175 regional aircraft. StandardAero is providing Mesa with a custom MRO program to provide maximum support and flexibility to ensure the success of the airline’s specific operational needs. Mesa flies these aircraft under a code share arrangement with United Airlines.

StandardAero is an OEM-approved APS2300 APU Authorized Repair Facility and as such, the company’s certified APU technicians have completed extensive OEM factory training provide customers with the most comprehensive, experienced and approved service in the industry. Mesa’s APS2300 APUs will be serviced at StandardAero’s Maryville, Tennessee facility.

Founded in New Mexico in 1982 and headquartered in Phoenix since 1998, Mesa provides regional air service for American Airlines under the American Eagle and US Airways Express brands and for United Airlines under the United Express banner. Mesa operates 110 aircraft with more than 550 daily system departures to 92 cities, 37 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and Mexico. Mesa’s agreements with its partners are among the longest in the regional industry and extend to 2025 (American/US Airways) and 2020 (United).
Mesa received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to add the Embraer E175 aircraft to its operating certificate in June of 2014 and began its E-Jet operations last summer with the fleet of 30 airplanes to be serviced by StandardAero.
