Sept. 18, 2009, Moscow, Russia – DAHER-SOCATA will exhibit its TBM 850 very fast Turboprop for the first time aircraft in Russia, with the company taking an active participation in the 4th annual JetExpo International Business Aviation Exhibition
at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport Sept. 16-18.

“We tested the Russian market last year with our Aircraft Sales Representative, Infinity Aviation, and the TBM 850 generated encouraging responses from potential customers,” said Nicolas Chabbert, DAHER-SOCATA’s Senior Vice President – Airplane Division. “As a result, we decided that JetExpo 2009 would be the perfect venue to introduce this aircraft to the Russian market.”

With its fast cruise speed, excellent range and low operating costs, the TBM 850 is well suited to Russia’s business transportation requirements, according to Victor Kuklyaev, the General Director of Infinity Aviation.

“In today’s challenging economic conditions, DAHER-SOCATA’s TBM 850 is just the type of aircraft that Russian business travelers are seeking for their personal transportation needs.” Kuklyaev said.

The TBM 850 is world’s fastest single turboprop aircraft, with a maximum cruising speed of 320 KTAS at Flight Level 260 (in ISA conditions). It combines cruising speed and trip times of a light jet with the economic direct operating costs, range and moderate environmental signature of a turboprop engine. The maximum range and useful load – which are enhanced on the new model – and the ability to land at small airports are some of its customers’ favorite features.
