Viking Air selects Antavia as its first FECC for aerial firefighting aircraft

Antavia, a unit of AMETEK Aerospace & Defense, has been selected by Viking Air Limited as the first Factory Endorsed Component Centre (FECC) for Viking’s global fleet of aerial firefighting aircraft. Under Viking’s FECC Program, Antavia is responsible for providing authorized maintenance services on landing gear for Viking’s Canadair CL-215, CL-215T and CL-415 aircraft.

Viking’s success in giving renewed life to the aerial firefighting program has included establishing and furthering relationships with key suppliers to improve aircraft support. Since 2016, Viking and Antavia have worked together to improve shop turn-around times and spare parts availability, while providing engineering solutions that minimize aircraft maintenance downtime.
