“Dale is a fantastic addition to our executive team and will bring the focus needed to enhance operational performance, lift our guest experience and enhance cargo customer service.  He is a strategic thinker and leader with a track record including contributions to the foundation of one of Canada’s most respected aviation brands and iconic corporate cultures,” said Michael Rodyniuk, president and chief executive of Wasaya.

“Attracting a strong, world class executive like Dale is testament to our successful turn around and strong corporate vision.”   The former WestJetter will lead day-to-day operations of the airline, committed to safe, reliable, cost effective air transportation services with a focus on First Nations opportunity, and now, clearly, guest experience.

“Wasaya has all the fundamentals to be incredibly successful. Michael and I have worked together, both at WestJet and at Island Air building strong corporate culture. Through the delivery of consistent, positive service to our guests, Wasaya is the natural choice for our guests and cargo customers. I am really excited and delighted to join the team at Wasaya,” said Tinevez.

Tinevez joins WestJet alum Stephen Smith, former WestJet president and CEO, now vice chairman of the Wasaya board of directors and Michael Rodyniuk, former WestJet director of revenue now president and CEO of Wasaya.
