YQB also points to airlines increasing travel to and from YQB in 2018. This includes WestJet added a new destination (Calgary) and increasing the number of flights from YQB to Toronto. American Airlines doubled its flights from YQB to the United States, including more flights to Philadelphia. The airline will continue expanding its offer in 2019, adding summer flights to Chicago.

YQB explains passengers also took advantage of the arrival of Air Canada Rouge for Québec City-Montréal and Québec City-Toronto routes. Air Transat also has more of a presence in YQB, having added more summer flights to Montréal to help its passengers travel to Europe. Finally, YQB notes Sunwing added Puerto Vallarta as a destination.

Québec City is also playing host to Routes America from February 12 to 14, 2019, showcasing YQB, which is managed by Aéroport de Québec Inc., the private corporation responsible since November 1, 2000, for the management, operation, maintenance and development of the international airport. Around a dozen carriers use YQB to offer connections to North America, Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe, and daily flights to the main hubs in eastern North America.
