FAA recognizes Bombardier Service Centres
Bombardier Aerospace has announced that each of its eight wholly owned service centres in the U.S. has been awarded a 2011 Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Diamond Award Certificate of Excellence, the industry’s highest honour for aviation maintenance.

B.C.'s Comox Valley Airport launches new school tour program
YQQ is helping to increase awareness among students in the Comox Valley about the airport and its operations, with the launch of a new school tour program aimed at students in kindergarten through Grade 4. There are also special shorter versions of the tour available for pre-school aged students from three to five years.

Cargojet profits drop in fourth quarter
Cargojet Inc. says it was caught off guard by a decline in volumes in its key overnight cargo services during the fourth quarter of 2011 as profits plummeted 52.2 per cent. The air freight carrier said earnings dropped to $3.2 million from $6.7 million a year earlier.

WestJet sets new single-day record
WestJet announced it flew 52,992 guests on Feb. 26, setting a new single-day record for the airline. The previous record, set on Dec. 22, 2011, saw 52,397 guests fly across the airline's network.
