Flying Colours Corp close to achieving ADS-B STC on Bombardier Challenger 604/605 in response to industry mandates

Flying Colours Corp, the Canadian headquartered completions, refurbishment and maintenance company is close to securing a Supplemental Type Certificate for ADS-B OUT in Bombardier Challenger 604 and 605 airframes, in line with industry mandates that start coming into effect in 2017. Automatic Dependent Surveillance - OUT (ADS-B OUT) enables the aircraft to report highly accurate position and status information to air traffic control, replacing the need for traditional radar. Flying Colours expects to have the accreditation validated by both Transport Canada and Europe’s EASA following FAA approval in the fall and available for install at all three of its facilities.
