ATAC Successfully Lobbies US TSA to Retract Restrictive NOTAM On December 14, 2015 the U.S. Transportation Security Administration issued a NOTAM which required small aircraft operators to get clearance to undertake Canada to Canada overflight of US airspace in advance of every flight. ATAC successfully lobbied TSA representatives in getting the NOTAM retracted. Airlines were not affected by the NOTAM whereas Commercial General Aviation (CGA) was. The revised FAA NOTAM issued January 16, 2016 restored the exemption to CGA provided Part 6 requirements pertaining to the continuous transmission of an ATC assigned transporter code or radio frequency are met. >> Learn More
