March 25, 2008, Tucson, AZ – Norm Matheis has been appointed regional marketing manager of Canada for Universal Avionics Systems Corporation. Matheis will be responsible for the overall growth and development of the Universal Avionics sales and support in Canada.

Matheis, who was with Field Aviation for 19 years, holds an Avionics Maintenance Specialist diploma from Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology – Scarborough Ontario, and a Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer “E” License. He is a member of the board for the Program Advisory Committee for Aerospace for Centennial College.

“With Universal’s substantial and increasing installed customer base, Matheis unique and extensive experience will allow us to develop richer partnerships with our existing customers, while continuing to support the rapidly growing areas in Canada,” said Dan Reida Universal’s marketing vice-president.
