Pan Am offering scholarship contest for aspiring pilots

Jan 13, 2012, Miami – Pan Am International Flight Academy announced today it is awarding three pilot type rating scholarships to pilots attending February’s All China Pilot Job Fair.
Qualified pilots who have registered to attend either the Miami China Job Fair on February 23-24 held at Pan Am’s headquarters on the Miami International Airport, or the Las Vegas China Job Fair on February 26 are automatically entered into the drawing from which a name will be randomly selected and awarded each of the three days of the fair. Each scholarship is valued at over $15,000.
The scholarship type ratings being awarded include: February 23rd – Miami- Boeing 737 Type Rating Scholarship February 24th – Miami – Airbus 320 Type Rating Scholarship February 26th –Las Vegas – Boeing 737 Type Rating Scholarship
The free All China Job Fair, sponsored by Pan Am International Flight Academy and WASINC International, China’s largest pilot leasing company, is expected to be heavily attended with pilots seeking to apply for jobs with ten of China’s top Airlines participating in the event. Visiting Chinese aviation officials and pilots currently employed in China will also be on hand. Conditional job offers are expected to be extended on the spot.

The awarded course duration is approximately 3 weeks and will be scheduled on a space available basis. All standard training materials will be provided. Winners are expected to complete the ATP written exam prior to training. The scholarship does not include transportation, housing, meals or personal expenses. Pan Am will provide suggestions for cost effective housing upon request.
