Aug. 24, 2011, Nakusp, B.C. – One man has been killed and another injured in the
crash of a small plane in southeast B.C.

The RCMP say the plane went down around 8:30 Wednesday morning
near the Kootenay town of Nakusp, about 500 meters off the shore of
Nakusp Lake.

The passenger was killed and the pilot was taken to hospital.

Corp. Annie Linteau says the cause has yet to be determined but
it's believed the plane crashed while attempting to land.

She says the plane has been temporarily secured to a tugboat and
is partially submerged. (CKIZ)
