Porter Airlines adding Montreal-Halifax route
March 24, 2010, Toronto - Porter Airlines is introducing non-stop service between Montreal and Halifax, with connecting flights to St. John's via Halifax. The service begins June 25, with two daily roundtrips.

"This expansion directly connects two of our most popular destinations, Halifax and Montreal," said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. "Porter's network has grown considerably in a relatively short time, but an equally important aspect of our growth is focused on offering additional travel options within the markets we already serve."
A schedule of two daily roundtrips is available for the summer season until September 6. Following this date, the frequency adjusts to four weekly roundtrips. This year-round service features one roundtrip flight on Thursday and Friday, as well as two on Sunday.
One-way fares between Montreal-Halifax start at $129, while fares between Montreal-St. John's start at $159, plus fees and taxes. Bookings can be made immediately through travel agencies, www.flyporter.com , or Porter's call centre at (888) 619-8622.
