Effective immediately, passengers can book a single combined e-ticket for Porter Airlines and Icelandair flights, including the convenience of checking baggage through to the final destination. Connections from more than 10 Canadian gateways are now available between airlines in Halifax, Boston, Washington-Dulles and New York-Newark.

“Canada is a growing market for Icelandair with many exciting opportunities on the horizon. The agreement with Porter Airlines will allow us to offer our passengers even more connections and flexibility throughout Canada,” said Thorsteinn Egilsson, Icelandair General Manager – The Americas.

Earlier this year, Icelandair expanded its seasonal service from Toronto-Pearson to a year-round operation with plans to increase capacity next summer. Icelandair also resumed seasonal service from Halifax with up to three flights a week.

“This is Porter’s first interline agreement providing access to Europe,” said Michael Deluce, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Porter Airlines. “Icelandair has numerous gateways within our network that passengers can fly from.”
