Porter nabs top award from Skytrax

For the third consecutive year, Porter Airlines was chosen as Best Regional Airline in North America at the 2016 Skytrax World Airline Awards.

More than 160 countries participate in the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey to select the award winners. This year’s presentation ceremony was held at the Farnborough International Airshow, the world’s leading gathering of aviation and aerospace industry representatives.

“Three years in a row is a significant accomplishment. The commitment of our entire team to providing the highest level of service to our passengers is what helps us stay at this consistently high level,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “I believe that the service aspect of our value proposition sets us apart, and being recognized as North America’s best regional airline is a true representation of this.”

Skytrax introduced the category for Best Regional Airline in North America in 2014. The award is recognition of high customer satisfaction in both the onboard and airport environments.

Within the last month, Porter also been ranked the second-most reputable Canadian company and the most reputable airline in Canada by the Reputation Institute; and voted one of the top 10 international airlines by Travel + Leisure’s World Best Awards.

Porter emphasizes overall service, and providing complimentary amenities, including lounge access, beer, wine and snacks for all passengers. Its main base at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is one of the most convenient urban airports in the world.
