Pratt & Whitney Canada’s Centraide campaign earns two awards

May 12, 2008, Longueuil, Que. - Pratt & Whitney Canada received two "Solidaire" awards from Centraide of Greater Montreal for its outstanding efforts during the organization’s 2007 fundraising campaign.

May 12, 2008, Longueuil, Que. – Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) received two "Solidaire" awards
from Centraide of Greater Montreal for its outstanding efforts during
the organization’s 2007 fundraising campaign. These awards acknowledge
the leadership and social commitment demonstrated by the volunteers and
agencies that support Centraide of Greater Montreal. P&WC is a
United Technologies (NYSE:UTX) company.

P&WC’s Quebec
employees collected a record $1,035,920 during last year’s campaign.
Each employee gave $267 on average, with a participation rate of over
65 per cent. In addition, 230 "leader" donors ($1,000 or more)
contributed to the campaign.

These outstanding results earned
P&WC a "Solidaire" award in the 1,000-employees-plus category.
Canadian Auto Workers (Quebec), Local 510 also received a "Solidaire"
award in the "Trade Union Support" category.

employees has once again been recognized," said John Saabas, Executive
Vice President of P&WC. "We will strive to make the next campaign
just as successful," he added.

Pratt & Whitney Canada, based in Longueuil, Quebec, is a
world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines
powering business, general aviation and regional aircraft, and
helicopters. The company also offers auxiliary power units and
