The two CAE 7000XR Series full-flight simulators (FFS) equipped with the innovative CAE Tropos 6000XR visual system will be delivered at Wizz Air’s new Training Center, which will open in Budapest, Hungary in the second half of 2018. CAE will also operate and maintain the airline’s training equipment at the new facility. The sale of the two FFSs was included as part of the undisclosed customers mentioned in CAE’s quarterly results announcement dated February 9, 2018.

“CAE has been our partner of choice for the past 10 years, delivering an excellent training experience to our pilots”, said Diederik Pen, Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at Wizz Air. “As we are continuously expanding our WIZZ network and our operations, we will soon open a brand-new training facility, for which we are counting on CAE once again, this time for its state-of-the-art training equipment and comprehensive training solutions. We look forward to continuing to grow our relationship with the leader in training”.

“CAE is proud to support Wizz Air for the next decade,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions. “The expansion of this training agreement is a testament to our enduring commitment to provide our customers with the most comprehensive training solutions.”

CAE and Wizz Air share a relationship that spans a decade, with the provisioning of pilot training. This is the first time the airline orders training equipment and training services from CAE.
