June 25, 2009, Spokane, Wash. – EDMO Distributors, a distributor of avionics, avionics test equipment, installation, and pilot supplies now carries the HandiFueler aviation fuel trailer system manufactured by Spokane Industries based out of Spokane, Washington.

Spokane Industries describes the HandiFueler as “a self contained, towable, trailer mounted refueling tank.” The HandiFueler is a 1,000 gallon stainless steel tank that is compatible with all types of fuel. However, customers can modify their HandiFueler to meet their specific needs. All HandiFuelers feature a 12 VDC electric pump able to dispense fuel at a rate of 32 gallons per minute, four Optima Blue Top D31M batteries able to pump 6,000 gallons between charges, and a 35 foot 1-1/4” GoodYear aviation fuel hose.

To ensure safety, the HandiFueler is made with single-wall, baffled stainless steel with rollover protection and is D.O.T 406 NFPA 385 and 407 compliant. The tank can be configured with double-walled construction to provide secondary containment. The HandiFueler also comes with locking, cable activated drum type parking brakes, well marked emergency shut-off switches, and exterior mounted fire extinguishers. With the amount of features and options for customization, Spokane Industries describes the HandiFueler as “a great new idea in aviation fuel trailer systems and an affordable alternative to a fuel truck.”
