June 8, 2009 – The canopy protects personnel and the aircraft interior from the environment and provides safety and security to passengers by completely obscuring their identity while they are in transit between the automobile/tarmac and the aircraft. It is quickly and easily positioned to straddle the main entrance door, prior to it opening, ensuring no precipitation falls on passengers or the stair treads.

It also reduces noise levels inside the aircraft while the main entrance door is open. When passengers return to the aircraft, the main entrance door is closed and the canopy is removed in seconds…no part of the canopy touches the aircraft, except the Sunbrella fabric on the sides of the canopy.
