The Bombardier Safety Standdown pioneering approach to safety training provides pilots, aircrew and flight departments with insight into the factors that precipitate errors in judgment and highlights ways to mitigate them. Focusing on the human factors behind safety in the aircraft, the seminar format combines knowledge-based and skill-based training with a line-up of internationally recognized speakers and presenters.
“The program exposes its students to information that is critical for safe flight. It is designed to make every single pilot, crew member and flight operations manager more aware and therefore more secure,” said Puja Mahajan, Director, Flight Operations, Bombardier Business Aircraft.
“I encourage aviation professionals to attend Safety Standdown in Shanghai to discover firsthand how they can apply the latest safety knowledge to their operations.”
“Safety is a top priority for business aviation and this superb initiative can benefit all Asian operators – indeed, the entire aviation community,” declared David Dixon, Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “To date, no other safety event held in Asia has focused so exclusively on this particular aspect of safety in the aviation industry. As with the annual event in the United States, which will celebrate its 15th year this fall, the Shanghai seminar will offer some of the most relevant and timely safety information available today.”
Safety Standdown is offered free of charge to all attendees. All aircraft operators, flight crews and aircraft maintenance personnel are welcome and encouraged to attend, regardless of the type of aircraft they operate. All program materials and lunches are included and certificates of completion are awarded. Registration information is available at: www.safetystanddown.com .
