Sault Ste. Marie proving its worth to Porter
Porter Airlines is adding a third daily round-trip flight between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Sault Ste. Marie, beginning June 27.

May 17, 2011, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. – Porter Airlines is adding a
third daily round-trip flight between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport
and Sault Ste. Marie, beginning June 27. The route began service with
two daily flights less than two weeks ago on May 4, but is already
performing as one of Porter's best start-up destinations.

"Support from the community of Sault Ste. Marie has been fantastic," said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. "We're in a position to take advantage of this early success and improve the service right away."

The third daily flight is available year-round, Sunday through Friday.

"The Sault Ste Marie Airport Development Corporation (SSMADC) is very pleased with Porter Airlines' decision to add an additional flight per day between Sault Ste. Marie andToronto Island," said Jerry Dolcetti, SSMADC Chair. "This increase to three flights further enhances availability of convenient scheduled flights in meeting the needs of the travelling public."

This additional service also improves flexibility for connections with many other Porter destinations.  Connecting markets through Toronto include Ottawa, Montreal, Thunder Bay, Windsor, Halifax, Boston, Chicago and New York. Toronto City Airport is conveniently located just minutes from downtown Toronto, providing easy access to the financial and entertainment districts.
