Confederation College’s two-year Aviation Technician – Aircraft Maintenance
Co-op diploma program teaches you everything you need to know to prepare for the Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license. Eligible graduates receive up to 21 months credit towards Transport Canada’s 48 month AME certification requirement.

Get the hands-on experience you need to maintain, repair and troubleshoot complex aircraft systems. Topics include aircraft construction and science, electrical and electronics, airframe systems and inspection, rotary wing (helicopter) maintenance and structural repair.

This program has been running for over 50 years and is delivered with our Flight program at the Aviation Centre of Excellence (ACE), a 60,000 sq.f. state-of-the-art facility located at the Thunder Bay International Airport, the third busiest airport in Ontario.
