Second Canadian Aviation Security Conference

Dec. 17, 2007, Ottawa, Ont. – The second Canadian Aviation Security Conference (CASC) will take place March 5 and 6, 2008 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy Hotel, Gatineau, Quebec. This year's conference, themed Sharing Skies, Managing Risk, will include sessions exploring new and ongoing threats to aviation security, as well as discussions focusing on the future of security risks in the Canadian aviation industry and the solutions to manage them.

Keynote presenters this year will include the Right Honourable Sir John Wheeler, author of an independent review of airport security and policing for the Government of Australia as well as the Minister of Transport (invited). The conference will also include presentations by leading experts from the Canadian and international aviation communities, including academic, governmental and private sector representatives.

The confirmed speaker list is extensive and continues to build, recognizing the serious nature of the global threat to national security.
