Sept. 11, 2012, Kelowna, B.C. - SkyTrac Systems is pleased to announce that it has obtained a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the ISAT-200 on the DHC-8 100, 200 and 300 series aircrafts.

The Dash-8 is a series of twin-engined, medium range turboprop airplanes mainly used for regional passenger airlines. The Dash-8 has a seating capacity of 39 in the 100 series, up to a capacity of 50 in the 300 series aircraft.

The Dash-8 STC in addition to the AML part-23 STC SkyTrac obtained earlier in 2012 gives a broad range of coverage in the fixed-wing market. The ISAT-200 provides a full range of flight following and SatCom capabilities for operators, and will be complemented by the release of the ISAT-200A later this year.

Kathleen Wallace, President and CEO commented, “SkyTrac works very hard and expends time and resources to ensure STCs are available for our products on popular airframe types.” This STC further expands SkyTrac’s extensive list of STCs for popular fixed and rotary wing aircraft under Transport Canada (TC), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Aviation Agency (EASA), and Agencia Nacional de Aviacao Civil (ANAC).
