A witness, who identified himself only as Daryl, told Kitchener
radio station 570News the plane appeared to overshoot a runway.

Other witnesses say a low-flying small plane banked and
nose-dived into a field and burst into flames after impact.

Police spokesman Olaf Heinzel said the call came in at about
8:27 a.m. and “it’s still very early on as to what happened.”

Heinzel said the investigation will likely be handed off to the National Transportation Safety Board.
