StandardAero engine and APU leadership at EBACE

May 11, 2009, Geneva, Switzerland – Citing nearly 100 years of engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities, StandardAero brings its knowledge, experience and leadership in turbine engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) MRO to this year’s European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) show in Geneva, Switzerland.

StandardAero is an OEM-authorized service provider for Honeywell TFE731, TPE331, HTF7000 and CFE738; General Electric CF34®; Rolls Royce AE3007; and Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, PW100 and PW600. Currently, the company processes more engines in the TFE and CFE lines than any other single service center and was the first to perform services on the Honeywell TFE731.
 
Over the past year, StandardAero has made significant investments throughout its network in expanding its engine MRO capabilities. These include a $20 million CF34® facility expansion in Winnipeg Canada, the development of a new, state-of-the-art PW600 test cell in Maryville, Tenn., a $3 million shop redesign at our Los Angeles facility, and new PT6A engine-upgrade programs. The Augusta, Ga. facility is now a center of excellence for TFE731 heavy work with the remaining facilities handling fly-in aircraft. Los Angeles now handles all TPE331 work. These changes create more efficient inventory management and reduced turn around time through further repair development within the StandardAero network.
