StandardAero Winnipeg completes 1000th GE engine
May 15, 2012, Geneva, Sui. - StandardAero announced today that it just delivered its 1000th GE engine; a CF34™-3 engine for Brit Air. The 162,000 sq. ft facility in Winnipeg, Canada supports the CF34 engine as well as the larger CFM56-7B engine used on Boeing’s fleet of 737 Next Generation aircraft.

In 2009, StandardAero entered the CFM56 market to expand its current product portfolio and solidify its market position as a comprehensive MRO provider in the commercial aircraft market. To date, more than 60 CFM56-7B shop visits have been completed as the volume continues to increase to include international customers.
According to several StandardAero customers, today’s 1000th engine announcement reflects the company’s strong partnerships and commitment in aligning StandardAero’s goals with those of their customers. StandardAero currently has over 1000 CF34/CFM56 engines under long term, maintenance relationships and that number continues to rise as we expand our global presence

StandardAero recently celebrated its 10th anniversary as a GE Authorized CF34 Provider and has been a GE Designated Fulfillment Center for the CFM56-7B engine since 2009. Long-term customers include Brit Air, GoJet, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Embraer, Cimber, Alitalia, WestJet, and SkyWest.
