Nov. 27, 2009 – Starlink Aviation will suspend its Yarmouth, N.S., based air service on Tuesday.

The Montreal-based company says it has run out of government subsidy money and can no longer offer the service to Halifax and Portland, Me., it began last February.

Regional sales manager Brenda Libby says they had no choice after efforts to obtain emergency funding didn't pan out.

Those holding tickets for flights after Nov. 30 will get refunds as soon as possible.

Starlink will lay off four pilots, two flight attendants and two customer service employees.
