The company explains this acquisition allows G. Stewart Travel Services – with retail operations under Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) and wholesale operations under Stewart Tours – to enhance the overall experience for passengers, pilots and flight crews travelling in and out of the airport. Stewart Travel is owned by Scott Stewart and Dana Empey.

“In 2014, when we offered our inaugural flight to New York City to celebrate CWT/Stewart Travel’s 40th anniversary, we knew we were on to something special,” said Scott Stewart, president of Stewart Aviation. “Now that we’ve assumed the operations of the FBO and fuel services, we’re looking forward to offering the same exceptional service to our new clients at the airport.”

“With Stewart Travel’s 40-plus years of experience, they are a natural fit and a real asset to the Peterborough Airport,” said Trent Gervais, GM at the Peterborough Airport.

CWT/Stewart Travel explains it currently has four charters booked for 2019, including its newly announced Bahamas cruise out of Florida. Stewart Aviation explains most of the previous FBO operational staff will stay with the company.
