Broadband is a compact system comprising a 2-MCU processor, high-power amplifier and a low-profile antenna, with a system weight of less than 20 lb. (9 kg). Powered by Cobham technology, Simphone (pronounced ‘symphony’) Global Broadband uses Inmarsat’s SwiftBroadBand service to provide worldwide communications through the entire flight regime, including on the ramp and at altitudes below 10,000 ft.
AGL Paired with the Simphone Chorus airborne telephone and its built-in data routing and Wi-Fi capabilities, SGBB offers business aircraft operators a total global voice, data and cabin networking solution.
Easy to install, TrueNorth’s SGBB system requires just a single connector, and its compact footprint makes it ideal for a range of aircraft, from light jets and turboprops to intercontinental business airplanes. Different antenna options are available to provide data transfer rates in excess of 400 kbps.
