UNI Air to replace aging Dash-8 300s

Sept. 13, 2011, Taipei, Taiwan - EVA Air subsidiary UNI Air has signed an agreement with European regional turboprop manufacturer ATR to buy ten ATR 72-600s, which will replace the Dash-8-300 aircraft from its fleet.

The ATR 72-600 aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney 127M engines and are equipped with advanced technologies such as a glass cockpit avionics suite and redesigned cabin interiors.

The 74 seat ATR 72-600 aircraft has 2,750hp per engine, with a maximum weight at take-off 23,000kg and maximum load of 7,500kg, offering a range with full passenger load of 899nm.

Deliveries are scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2012.
