Universal Avionics today announced the expansion of its training with the launch of UA Academy, an online learning centre designed to deliver on-demand course access to its customers, authorized dealers and integrators.

The courseware of UA Academy is designed by UA professionals for pilots, technicians, and dealers/integrators. “Now, more than ever, with COVID-19, we are seeing an increased need for online learning,” said Dror Yahav, CEO, UA. “As a company, we’ve worked diligently to develop additional technology-based training devices to further support self and remote training, which will complement UA Academy.”

UA states its online courses apply tested adult learning theory and that they are built on a platform designed for customer training. Interactive practices are mixed with short, instructional videos. Students also have the option to pair the online course with desktop training software and devices as well as scenario-based instructor-led classroom training.

Courses currently available at UA Academy include SBAS-Flight Management System (FMS) Operations, Vertical Navigation VNAV Made Easy, InSigh Display System Operations for Fixed Wing, FMS End User Maintenance, FMS Return to Service, and Data Link Fundamentals.
