Universal Avionics delivered its 20,000th Flight Management System (FMS)
on the show floor to Field Aviation Company of Mississauga, Ont.

Field Aviation is also Universal’s top North American dealer for 2010. John Mactaggart, president and CEO of Field Aviation was on hand to accept both the award and the historical FMS personally.

“To be a top dealer is an accomplishment, but to do so in the very competitive North American market is an exceptional feat,” commented Universal president and CEO Ted Naimer in presenting the award in front of hundreds of clients, suppliers, staff, and aviation journalists. Universal Avionics’ UNS systems are installed in over 100 types of aircraft worldwide, and while the company’s product line has expanded greatly since the first unit was delivered to a Falcon 500 in 1983, FMS technology remains at the core of Universal’s business.
