Fire officials in the New Brunswick city say the U.S Airways flight landed just after 3 a.m. after the smell of smoke was detected on board.

Dieppe fire chief Charles LeBlanc says the plane landed safely about 20 minutes after firefighters arrived at the scene.

He says the smoke turned out to be from an overheated oven inside the aircraft.

LeBlanc says one of the passengers was bothered by the smoke and was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
