This live session will explore how Babcock trains its people and operates the largest fleet of CL 415s, while keeping safety as a top priority. With over three decades of CL firefighting experience, Mario has learned about safety and efficiency in aviation. The session will examine tailored training and safety procedures.

About Mario Ferrante
Mario, Babcock’s Director of Flight Operations for the MCS Italia Fixed Wing Division, is currently responsible for overseeing the operations of the Italian Viking CL 415 fleet.

A former military pilot, Mario has an impressive military flight record. He flew over 1,000 hours in the F104 Starfighter before joining the Italian FRECCE TRICOLORI; a military aerobatic team. After leaving the team, Mario became a Weapon Instructor first, and then Squadron Commander. Since retiring from military service, he has been fighting fires in Viking CL 415s across a wide range of scenarios and terrains.
