Cascade Aerospace, an operating unit of IMP Aerospace & Defence, supports a diverse range of airframe platforms ensures with scalable solutions for operational needs. This includes supporting military aircraft, government aircraft and commercial aircraft. Cascade is well-known for its aerospace engineering services for custom product design, manufacturing and certification. This includes extensive in-house engineering capabilities with a large complement of senior design engineers, engineers, technologists and support personnel on site. The company supports aircraft structures, systems, avionics, interiors, electrical and flight analysis.

In addition to the strong OEM relationships that form the basis for alterations to aircraft systems, Cascade focuses on continuing airworthiness of aging aircraft, adaptation to specialized mission requirements and management of obsolescence. Its team has extensive experience with design regulation, standards, certification management and establishing compliant outcomes in the form of STC, RDC’s, as well as equivalent certifications within domains other than the civil airworthiness structure. In mid-2019, Viking Air announced Cascade would serve as a partner for its newly launched Avionics Upgrade Program (AUP) for the Canadair CL-215T and CL-415 fleet of aerial firefighting aircraft. The program will incorporate modernized technologies in communications, navigation, surveillance, and air-traffic management functionality in an integrated platform featuring the Collins Aerospace Pro Line Fusion avionics suite.
